San Diego

At the end of June I was able to go visit Joseph in San Diego.  Wow did it bring back memories.  Life was so different out west before kids.  It was so fun to visit and I think we both gained about 10 pounds since all we did was visit all kinds of restaurants and eat some really yummy food and of course and enormous fill of Mexican food!  We did all kinds of touristy stuff that we never did while we lived there and really had a nice time enjoying each other without our beautiful children.  Thanks to our parents and great aunt for taking care of them so we could have a wonderful vacation! 

Joseph ended up getting attached to a ship out of Mayport, FL and his last class was canceled for him so we ended our trip with a drive across the country.  We had great plans to see the Grand Canyon and eat at some more fabulous places(we had this same plan some 10 years ago when we previously made the trip) but once again our plans took a different route only this time because our house SOLD!  Yippee but we had to go house hunting... so we race back to Jacksonville find a house, make an offer and head to Memphis.  On our way we got the call and our offer was accepted!  So our whirlwind summer was off and running and oh it keeps going!
