Since our Vacation

We have jumped right back into the swing of things at home. Caden and Corbin went home with Grammy and Granddad so they stayed with us for one more night before heading to Tennessee. The four little kids had such a great time together Morgan really did not want them to leave and she really wanted to go with them to visit for longer. If Afghanistan was not a possibility in Joseph's very near future we probably would have let her go but we really need the family time right now. Monday we were going to go to the zoo but we got rained out so we cleaned the house really finding homes for things and putting random things away that have been out forever. Tuesday was school and Gymboree. Fun as always and an exhausting day considering I was coming down with something. Still not feeling well I decided to meet up with a girlfriend and her boys for a zoo outing. We did have a really good time but the cold was really getting to me. Thursday Morgan Grace went to school and we had our conference with her teacher. She is doing very well and really loves her teachers and friends. I was ready for a break by Friday and that is what we did. Nothing just a lot of playing, blogging and vegging. Saturday I was feeling great and we started on our weekend long yard project. Trimming the trees, mowing, getting up the rest of the leaves, the whole nine yards. Sunday I had the brilliant idea to finally take out the tree trunk that has been a part of our yard for a few years now. We took the tree down a few years back but because of its proximity to the fence we could not get the rest with the chainsaw we had so off to rent one and take it out. Easier said then done. They change the chains on the saw every time it is rented but after making the first cut a few feet down the second cut was not working at all. Joseph has cut down his fair share of trees and knew something was not right so back to Home Depot. Two chains later we finally see that there is concrete around the base of the tree where the fencepost was set in the ground and that was dulling the chain. Joseph did get it out and finally we don't have a crazy tree trying to grow back out of the trunk! After all of yesterdays work we took a dip in our neighbors pool and then back for baths, dinner and bed. For Hadleigh who had no nap yesterday she turned her dinner into bed. Poor girl she was so tired she feel asleep at about 5:15 and slept through the night! I guess we know how to wear our kids out!
